The National Mall in Washington D.C. went on a dual charm offensive Friday evening, with peaking Cherry Blossom trees wearing an exotic look under silvery moonlight.
That description may sound a little fantastical but then how else would you describe Nature’s own artwork, when the many shades of pink have a unique date with a moonlit evening.
“I almost felt like tranced, but I was lucky to have a good camera,” said Dr. Zulfiqar Kazmi, a Virginian, who got a click from under a cherry tree branch that captured the featured image above.
But the daytime has its own fascination with clusters of Cherry trees. The tidal basin is already brimming with visitors to greet the peak bloom.
Apart from visitors streaming into the National Mall and swarming around the national monuments, people from the metro area also use water taxis to experience Cherry Blossom in a Potomac River cruise from Alexandria Old Town.
As people in the metro area celebrate Spring colors, Views and News will update and share images with its readers.
