Pakistan army Saturday said it has shot down an Indian drone in Rakhchari Sector along the Line of Control (LoC) – in yet another instance of Islamabad thwarting Indian aggressive moves.
“The Indian Quad Copter was shot down by own Aagahi Post in Rakhchakri Sector,” Director General of Army media wing ISPR said amid months-old ongoing tensions.
The Indian unmanned surveillance copter had intruded 60 meters into Pakistani side of Line of Control.
It fell near Aagahi Post and has been taken over by the armed force.
The escalating move comes a day after Pakistan’s navy said it had pushed an Indian submarine away from Pakistani waters.
Earlier in the day, four children were killed and three others injured by Indian forces along the Line of Control (LOC) in Azad Kashmir.
Last year in June, Pakistan Army said it had shot down an Indian ‘spy drone’ after it intruded into Pakistani territory near Bhimber along the LoC.
“The spy drone is used for aerial photography,”ISPR head Gen Asim Bajwa said in a brief statement.
