In a statement, Abbas, who is a member of the Opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, cited the outgoing US Vice-President Joe Biden’s warning about regional instability in South Asia, as she underscored that corruption is a major reason for regional instability.

Nawaz Sharif and his family have denied any wrongdoing and his counsel maintains that the prime minister enjoys immunity from prosecution.
Ms. Abbas is a member of the core committee of PTI and advises chairman Imran Khan and the other party leaders on major issues including employment, education, and women’s empowerment.
