Twenty six people were reported killed and several others injured when a gunman opened fire at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas on Sunday.
This was the second incident of mass shooting, around a month after the Las Vegas massacre which killed 58 people.
According to The New York Times, law enforcement sources have identified the gunman as 26-year-old Devin P. Kelley. He is dead.
Sutherland Springs, home to a small community of few hundred people, is located some 30 miles southeast of San Antonio.
The victims include a 14-year-old child, according to an ABC News report.
President Donald Trump, who is traveling in Japan, prayed for the people of Sutherland Springs in a tweet.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued a statement:
“While the details of this horrific act are still under investigation, Cecilia and I want to send our sincerest thoughts and prayers to all those who have been affected by this evil act. I want to thank law enforcement for their response and ask that all Texans pray for the Sutherland Springs community during this time of mourning and loss.”
Governor Abbott also ordered Texas flags across the state to be lowered to half-staff in honor of the victims.
