After a long rainy and snowy winter, Washington D.C. looks to welcome the 2019 Spring with a peak Cherry Blossom bloom from April 3 to 6.
The Tidal Basin in the capital with national landmarks around will see Cherry Blossom festival between March 20 and April 14, according to National Park Service.
The peak bloom period varies with weather conditions – with warmer Spring temperatures bringing the bloom as early as March 15 and a frosty season taking the peak bloom to April 18.
The peak bloom is the time when 70% of the blossoms are open – a colorful time when the Tidal Basin becomes a center of attraction for people in Washington area and beyond.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival brings a series of events including tours and performances to greet the season.
