It’s just not possible for many of us to eat healthy food all the time. We must go to work, attend social gatherings and dinners, be with our friends, knowing there is no guarantee that we will have recipes and diets to our preference.
So, what do we do, once we convince ourselves that green food is the way to keep ourselves healthy and happy?
Being an academic that spends hours at educational institutions, I always try to take some food with me, and eat it when it’s lunch break.
But even that is not always possible, especially, when you are traveling or visiting friends and family.
Here are a few tips to make healthy foods part of your life.
One thing that is always helpful is not to eat by the clock but by the level of your hunger. We cannot stuff down food on a given time of the day, every day.
Therefore, always try to eat, when you really have the appetite to eat.
Secondly, keep changing the recipe a little bit – like the spice, sauces, pastas, salsas, nuts, creams or vegetable and fruit mixes – olives, tomato. That helps treat yourself to a little bit different flavor.
Thirdly, don’t think that you have forever quit on unhealthy diet. You may take a little bit of it now and then but don’t replace the portentous intakes with your preferred healthy diet.
Fourth, treat healthy food as Nature’s gift, which you cannot miss out. Be mentally strong, make it a habit and resist the temptation to eat junk food.
Fifth, don’t forget that staying active is as important as taking good food.
Sixth and last, each time you eat, think that that you are having something that will empower your to fight disease and stay happy and healthy.
