Is it coffee or tea with buttered slices? Fresh orange juice? A bowl of cereals dipped in milk? Toasted bread ? Or just a cup of milk?
These are the common food items spread out on America’s morning tables.
But there is one food item that majority of Americans like to have in their breakfast to start their day.
The protein-filled eggs- that could be taken in a variety of ways like boiled, omelets, and simply fried with toasts or in sandwiches – are a preferred breakfast choice.
A study, jointly carried out by OnePoll and Sabra this year found that 65 percent of the 2000 people surveyed called eggs as their go-to morning meal.
Coffee comes second with 58 percent going for for coffee in the morning. Cereal is the third most preferred food with 56 percent having it as their breakfast.
The study came up with an interesting finding – men aged 25–34 pick avocado toast and hummus toasts for breakfast.
Doctors have long said starting a day with eggs makes sense since they provide proteins and calories and are a healthy diet. But remember they also have a lot of cholesterol.
While coffee may stimulate our senses, energy-filled eggs appear to meet our physical demands. After all, a fresh day is about being energetic and active.
Ultimately, however, it is up to individuals what beverage activates them and what food energizes them. So go by your choice, by what your body tells you is good for your health.
