PIA flight carrying stranded Pakistanis departs from New Jersey for Lahore

The fourth flight is scheduled to take off on May 21

A special PIA plane carrying 250 Pakistanis left Newark Airport, New Jersey on Sunday for Lahore.

This is the third in a series of flights that the Pakistani Government has chartered to transport Pakistanis – stranded in the U.S. due to disruption in air travel amid coronavirus outbreak – back home.

Another special PIA plane arranged to take Pakistanis back home will depart New Jersey on May 21.

On Sunday, Consul General in New York Ayesha bade the passengers farewell at Newark Airport, New Jersey.

Earlier this month, two PIA flights flew Pakistanis from Washington area to Islamabad and Karachi.

Pakistan Embassy in Washington says the passengers flying the special flights are pre-registered with it and the four consulates in the United States.

Those planning to take next flights should contact the embassy or the consulates for travel back home.
