I took these photos during when I traveled this past weekend to a vantage spot above the clouds at Skyland Lodge in Shenandoah National Park. It was 15 degrees cooler than baking Washington with grand views from Stony Man Mountain with Peregrine hawks soaring above and the much smaller and more delicate beauty of Lacey spider webs in the mist and lady bugs on wildflowers…wondrous beyond words.
