Hours after news broke of a close aide testing positive for COVID-19, President Donald Trump Thursday said he and First Lady Melania Trump were beginning a quarantine process as they awaited results of their tests.
Hope Hicks, a White House aide, traveled with the president in recent days including to Ohio where he appeared in the first presidential debate with Democratic contender Joe Biden.
In a twitter post, Trump confirmed that Hicks had tested positive.
Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid 19. Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!
