Pakistani girl Karishma Ali, who is the first ever player to represent Chitral in national and international soccer competitions, is among Forbes magazine’s outstanding young people.
She features on the business magazine’s ’30 under 30′ 2020 list.
The coveted spot cheered Karishma, who tweeted about the achievement and remembered her father who had stood by her.
Karishma is also the president of Chitral Women’s Sports Club, has not just won laurels for herself but has imparted training to about 60 girls in the sport.
The 21-year-old sportswoman has represented Pakistan at the Jubilee Games in Dubai, and her team was the first women’s team from Pakistan to participate in the AFL International Cup.
On the highly competitive list, Karishma shares the space with the likes of the Japanese tennis star, Naomi Osaka, who is considered to be at the top of her game now.
