Cuisine of the Week: Peshawari Karahi Gosht

A dish to cherish in snowy weather

These freezing days when everyone stays home due to coronavirus restrictions, there must be something that must be very delicious and digestible.

The meat recipe we are trying today is traditional but can be renewed with a hint of new spice mix-up.

The mouth-watering Peshawari Karahi Gosht is one of the most famous dishes in Peshawar. The cuisine bears mutton chops, marinated in simple spices and soya sauce that give it a flavor.

 

Ingredients:

Here is the magic mix:

Mutton Chops 2lb

Oil ¼ cup, Black pepper (ground)1tsp,

Meat tenderizer 1tsp, Salt tsp,

Ginger garlic paste 1tsp, Lemon

 

How to cook:

The first thing after getting the ingredients would be to marinate mutton chops with salt, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, soya sauce, ground black pepper, and meat tenderizer for 1 hour.

Heat oil in a pan, add marinated chops, and cook on a very low flame with half a cup of water till tender.

The dish is best served with fresh Naans, furnace-baked large loaves, and salad.
