In order to make an impact in the Washington area’s competitive environment businesses require not only specific expertise and innovation but also networking connections and an understanding of the federal government contracting opportunities, an Asian American Chamber of Commerce leader said. 

Opening the 14th Annual Asian American Business Summit, AACC founder President Dr. Cindy Shao said the event aimed at facilitating an interface between experts and business owners through informed discussions.

 The event featured established businesses and eager startups as a series of panel discussions sought to explain key challenges and ways to address them.

A panel discussion on “Unlocking Opportunities: The Evolution of Enterprise Digitization in Government Contracting” offered insight into the intricate world of government contracting.

The discussion navigated the federal marketplace and turned out to be an opportunity to learn about ways businesses could thrive federal government marketplace. 

Cindy Shao said the event provided an opportunity to interact with the Asian Business Community, meet industry-specific buyers and decision-makers, and learn about opportunities in government procurement, diversified supplier programs, business enterprise certifications, and commercial real estate.

“Fostering Progress and Transforming Industries: A Deep Dive into Innovations in Technology” was the topic of another discussion as technology companies expand their work in the area.

A third-panel discussion centered on “Elevating Impact: Embracing Corporate Social Responsibility in Today’s Business World”. 

The organizers said the Summit marks the continuation of AACC’s tradition of providing a dynamic networking venue that promotes opportunity, education, and small business growth.

“We encourage all participants to actively engage in the discussions, ask questions, and share their knowledge, as collaborative learning is at the heart of our mission,” Shao said.

Speakers included Kendee Yamaguchi, Deputy Assistant Secretary for U.S. Field, Global Markets, International Trade Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce, and Larry Webb, District Director at the Small Business Administration. 

A group of exhibitors and sponsors showcased their products and services, contributing to a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere.

“We always try to connect our members with the right experts and potential partners. This way the platform enables the business community to have a platform where they can come together, share ideas, and advance their businesses,” Shao said.
