Thanks God it’s Friday
Such a lovely day out there in D.C. area.
Here is a simple translation:
Life’s struggles go on
Will it make a difference?
If we blame someone
The time just keeps flying
The path has never been easy
Oh, the people of the town
I know, I was also willing
To make many a mistake
And that I did so
Trump’s Trade War
President Trump last week imposed some stiff tariffs on goods.. especially on the import of steel and aluminum, and many goods which come to the USA from China. He targeted China but exempted Mexico, Canada and European countries from these tariffs.
In retaliation, and tit-for-tat moves, China imposed tariffs on American goods which China imports. Beijing has decided to put tariffs on agricultural products, automobile parts and aircraft etc.
China imports agricultural products 70% of corn, 90% of soybeans and livestock like pork from America. This new tit-for-tat policy of China will drastically effect the imports of these agricultural products.
China rather than importing these products from America is likely to look for other places like Brazil. At the end of the day this would hurt the American farmers.
American farmers who are from the rural areas mostly Republicans and they voted for Donald Trump in general elections. The rural farmers whom I don’t blame are worried. Some farmers are hopeful with a grain of salt, and think that Trump might reconsider the tariff policies and then things will start playing around better. Farmers are following my footsteps I guess… Keep Hope Alive
