Pakistan American Business Association will hold a trade show on October 20 in Fairfax, Virginia, affording an opportunity to entrepreneurs from both countries to explore ways for expansion in two-way commerce.
“We have entitled this trade show and conference as Building Trust Through Trade because economic ties can be a great force for mutually beneficial ties,” M Siddiqui Sheikh, PABA chairman and founder says.
Organizers say the show would be a tremendous opportunity for cross-industry groups, as well as small and medium size businesses to build contacts and develop prospects for lucrative deals.
PABA has listed networking with potential business partners, exploration of opportunities for ventures and deals, awareness about the untapped markets in Pakistan and trade venues between the U.S. and Pakistan, and showcasing of products and services as among the major attractions of the show.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Asad M Khan will open the trade show and the conference. Featured speakers during the day-long program will include prominent American politicians, chamber leaders, bankers, finance experts and leading Pakistani entrepreneurs.
The United States and Pakistan currently have more than $6 billion two-way trade. President Donald Trump acknowledged during talks with Prime Minister Imran Khan this year that the two way commerce should be expanded manifold.
