Hillary Clinton Email Probe Over – No Charges

Attorney General accepts FBI's unanimous recommendation of no charges

The investigation into Democratic presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton’s use of private email account as America’s top diplomat has been closed as Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch Wednesday accepted the F.B.I.’s unanimous recommendation that no charges be brought against any individual within the scope of the probe.

The attorney general issued a statement following a meeting with FBI chief on Wednesday afternoon.

“Late this afternoon, I met with FBI Director James Comey and career prosecutors and agents who conducted the investigation of Secretary Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal email system during her time as Secretary of State.

“I received and accepted their unanimous recommendation that the thorough, year-long investigation be closed and that no charges be brought against any individuals within the scope of the investigation,” Lynch said in the statement.

Republicans have reacted to FBI’s recommendation this week with severe criticism of Hillary Clinton, with likely nominee and rival for November 8 presidential election Donald Trump leading the charge.

The issue over Clinton’s use of private email server as secretary of state has been a major political issue in the 2016 election season.

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS, AND WILL BE UPDATED WITH REPUBLICAN REACTIION.
