Ambassador Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry has said he would enlist support of the vibrant Pakistani-American community to strengthen and expand economic, commercial and investment ties between Pakistan and the United States.
Presiding over a conference of Heads of Pakistan’s Consular Missions from New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Houston, Ambassador Chaudhry also underscored that improvement in consular services and facilitating the community would be accorded the highest priority.
He vowed to reach out to members of the community across the United States.
As part of his plan to engage the community, Chaudhry will make regular trips to all the consulates and their areas of jurisdiction in order to acquire first-hand information on the community’s concerns and seek their support in building bridges between the two countries.
The ambassador also emphasized that the Pakistan Missions in the United States should utilize the community’s feedback to further improve consular services. He advised the officers to ensure easy accessibility for members of the community.
The consuls general resolved to implement new and innovative measures to further improve the standards of delivering the services.
They also agreed to invigorate efforts to work with the Pakistani-Americans towards promoting and deepening US-Pakistan relationship.
